JDRF Walk 2012

We participated in the JDRF Walk for the Cure again this year! We are so thankful to be a part of this team year after year. We have been participating since 2007 when Ashley was just a year old! Hard to believe! We are so grateful to our family and friends who donate and support us! It means so much! Here are some snapshots from our day. It was a beautiful morning at the Alamodome - perfect weather too! Garrett got to cut the ribbon so our team was the first group to start which was awesome because we were in the front of the line and were able to run most of the way. It was quite a workout but tons of fun! The kids got their faces painted too!

LOVE them!

Blog Hiatus

This blog hiatus was definitely not intentional. I logged on last night and I realized that it's been almost two whole months since I have posted.  I really love this blog, but I guess life with two kiddos and working full time really puts a dent into time to dedicate on here.  With that said, I REALLY DO LOVE having a blog to journal our life.  I have been keeping little notes here and there about the cute/funny/silly/crazy things that the kids have been doing lately, so thankfully I can add those on here.  SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED since my last blog post - Ashley started Kindergarten, her award at Kinder, her 6th birthday, Paul's 33rd birthday, my Dad seems to be getting better (yay), Corey's vocabulary has soared, my close friend had a baby, Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, Cathy's been in town for awhile, Sea World Howl-O-Scream visit last weekend, and of course finally writing about our DISNEY WORLD vacation back in July/August.  And those are just the things on the top of my head!  Halloween is right around the corner and so far Ashley wants to be a unicorn and Corey's going as a vampire (because of his biting "issues" we've had this year).  LOL!

Life is good. Really good. And I am so grateful for each and every day. I love the crazy hectic life we lead because it's a reminder that we are alive and well. So I can't get upset with myself with not keeping up with the blog, because I have been living a lot of life lately and it's all good.  :) I hope to make another visit back to the blog soon to write about the fun and crazy happenings around our household.

For now, here's some pics to tide you over....
I judged a pageant back in July....more on that later...Here I am with the judges.
Ashley lead the kids in her class in song on her birthday!
I drew on Paul's car the morning of his birthday!
We've been going to the UTSA football games - our record so far is 5-1. Yeah!
Ashley has been taking an art class once a week after school.
She drew her interpretation of the famous "Blue Dog" painting. Her's is on the left. How awesome is that?! :)
My handsome boy is growing so fast. This is him after his bath the other night.

I also thought I would add that a week after school started Ashley got her brand new lunchbox and backpack from my parents for her birthday! It's Disney's Tangled (Rapunzel) themed and she LOVES it! Way to go Nanny and Pop-Pop! It's a hit!
