Ashley has become enthralled with the song "March" by Tchaikovsky from the Nutcracker Suite. She learned the song through her school music class. They even added lyrics to the the rythym of the horn section.... "Stand up at attention soldiers now, Stand up at attention soldiers now!" She marches around the room lifting her sweet little hand to her forehead as if she were saluting. There is a section of the song where the strings move all around and she mimics whiskers beside her cheeks to show the mice dancing all around. It is the sweetest thing!
Over the weekend we went to Sea World and there was a beautiful display of Nutcrackers and Ashley just HAD to have one. She picked a blue nutcracker and just couldn't wait to open the box. We let her open it and she just held him tight the rest of the evening and stroked his fluffy white hair.
