February 5 - 11

Super Bowl Sunday! In the morning I went to my Women's Sunday School class and I headed back home and we drove over to the North Start Mall to meet one of our favorite YouTube stars. His name is Adam the Woo. He was hosting a meetup at the Think Geek store.  We like to follow his channel on YouTube and we were super excited to meet him as well as the Carpetbagger (who was also traveling along with him). We waited in line almost an hour to see him but it was super fun! We even made it on both of their vlogs!

Afterward we headed home and I started getting everything ready for our little lowkey SuperBowl watch party - just the four of us and some healthy-ish snacks! :) I did make myself a vodka and cranberry so that was a win.

Tater chillin' on me while we watch the Super Bowl

Relaxing and PJ's - that is my kind of party
On Monday, I started getting all of my "freebie" coupons via email for my birthday month. It's my favorite thing to do! I went to McAllister's and got a giant loaded baked potato for about $2. :)

Tuesday - I came out to my car and saw this taped to my steering wheel. :) My husband still knows how to make me smile. It's the little things. :)

After getting home, I did one of the hardest workouts I have ever done, but man it feels good to be stronger now than ever before!

So proud of myself!

On our challenge group, we were told to post one of our favorite body parts.
I posted my calves because no matter what weight I am or how fit, these babies are always strong! :)
Wednesday, the kids had their Student Led Conferences. Corey did so well. So proud of these kids. And Ashley of course, nailed it! She wrote the sweetest essay about me and how special I am in her life. It made me cry. And Corey wrote a story about how he loves his sister.

Thursday...Paul had preordered my birthday gift and it came today. I couldn't wait and decided to open it early. I really wanted a Rad Joy Surrender Cross and he got it!! It is so special to me and it is hanging in our kitchen/dining room.

Friday - The kids had their Apex Fun Run fundraiser today and they each ran 40 laps!!They had a blast! So proud of them! I volunteered at the water station for Corey's race and I just missed Ashley's race by a few minutes but thankfully I was able to get a few pictures. She also was able to come back out later and mark off shirts during Corey's race. She was so excited to help!

I was able to stick around a little longer and sit with the kids while they had lunch. :)

Saturday... My friend Denise is a part of the Women's ministry at University United Methodist Church and she invited me and Ashley to participate in a Love Letters/Design a Valentine's card event at the local Senior Living facility. Ashley and I had a lovely time interacting with the residents and she got to spend time with Denise's daughter, Vivian, who now goes to another school and they don't see much of one another anymore.

January 31 - February 4th

Catching up on the week.... Tuesday morning, I did a self care yoga workout. My body was hurting and sometimes you just need a gentle morning practice.
Wednesday...I got the schedule ready for the POPfitness groups free "Self Love" Challenge. For the month of February, we are asking that everyone post a workout of their choice each day. I assigned each member a date and they are going to post for that specific day.

Thursday...Corey wanted to pose with me while I took of pic of my shake! LOL! I take pics of my shake pretty much everyday for the challenge group, so he wanted to join me this time. :)

Friday...I made Ezekiel tortilla pizzas for dinner with artichokes for Paul and me and I made cheese for the kids. They really LOVE these and they are much healthier than regular pizzas.

Saturday...I got up super early to get in my workout because I missed on Friday and I knew I had a big day ahead of me. 22 Minute Hardcorps - check! I had plans at 7am to meet my friend Denise for coffee at Starbucks. I feel like lately most of my friendships are virtual and I made it a mental resolution this year to make more time for friends, in person.  We both have busy schedules, but it was so nice to get together and chat before the world woke up. It was a lovely conversation. Later that day I did my grocery shopping at Trader Joe's and HEB and got some items for the Superbowl. Ashley had a sleepover at her friend Ellen's house later that afternoon, so Paul and Corey spent some time playing video games on the Wii U while I folded laundry. It was a quiet night without Ashley, and Corey had a rough time missing his big sister. They are never apart.  Corey stayed in our room that night and we watched a movie. :)

Early morning Saturday workout

Getting up early on a Saturday morning while it's still dark to meet a friend is commitment. :)

My weird fingers when it gets cold out. I discovered it's called Raynaud's Phenomenon.
Eventually the color comes back, but it's so strange.
