Corey's 4 Month Checkup and Development

Our little guy!
On August 3rd we had Corey's 4 month well checkup.  He is our growing little boy and just perfect!  He is 14lbs 2oz and 25 1/4 inches long.  He is in the 34th percentile in his weight and 78th percentile in his length.  We can tell he is going to be tall because he is so long!  He actually weighs two pounds more than Ashley did at this age!  He got more shots at this appointment and had a fever for the next two days, but did well otherwise.  He wasn't at all fussy.

Chewing on his hands as usual.
The night before our appointment he rolled over for the first time from his belly to his back.  Now we can't keep him on his belly because he just wants to roll over all the time!  He is almost ready to roll from his back to his belly, but just can't quite make it over.

He is cooing like crazy, and just smiles and giggles all day long. All you have to do is look at him and he just beams with this huge smile and grin that you just can't help but smile yourself!  Even Ashley can't stop saying "He's so cute!" :)

Happy boy!

On August 7th we tried rice cereal for the first time, simply because it felt like he is still hungry before bedtime and just nurses FOREVER!  He did really well and big sister Ashley helped to feed him too!  So so cute!
Big Bite

Big Sister Ashley did such a great job feeding him!
We gave him cereal in the evening that weekend, but he kept spitting most of it up within a half hour of eating it, so I am wondering if maybe it was just too much food too soon.  I am waiting a couple more weeks before introducing him again.  So far he has been doing better at night and to be honest, this kid sleeps (in his glider) at night from 8:30pm until about 7am most nights! It's awesome!  I am very blessed to be able to get this much sleep with a 4 month old!

Grasping the little airplane.  Look at that determined face.  He is trying to figure it out!
He is also starting to grasp things easier.  Just this past week we have noticed that he is holding onto his teether toy better and he is constantly trying to reach for things and bat at them.  For instance at dinner last night, he was trying to grab on to my plate while I had him on my lap.  I kept having to move it away from his reach!  He loves to play on his activity mat and bat at the toys dangling from above his head as well as check himself out in the mirror!  He is so much fun and it is so great watching him grow and learn new things.

Our little cuties!

After his bath!  This was Ashley's little robe when she was a baby.

He tssuch a sweetheart!
One of my favorite things is while driving the kids to daycare in the morning is listening to him coo and babble on and on in the backseat and then Ashley say "Mommy he's talking to me!" And then Ashley talks back to him saying, "I love you little boy, you're so cute!"   It's the best!

My adorable kids. Love them soo soo much!
