Attitude of Gratitude

Thanksgiving this year was really nice and relaxed. This year was the first year (in a long time) that I watched most of the Macy's Thanksgiving parade drinking a cup of coffee and sitting in the living room! It was glorious. I actually had two cups of coffee. Yum! I put together a breakfast casserole before 8am and by 9am we were eating and ready for the parade to begin! We were still in PJs, the kids made little Mickey pilgrim hats and colored turkeys. Corey even made his turkey picture into a hat! LOL

I was requested to bring the pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes. Around 2pm I started making about 8lbs of mashed potatoes. Paul helped me peel the potatoes and I diced, boiled, mashed and seasoned and we were dressed and ready for dinner at Camille's for 4pm.  It was a lovely evening and dinner was delicious.

I am so thankful for my family and friends. My kids and husband are spectacular and although I didn't get to spend time with the Vogt side this year, I reflected fondly on last years' gathering when both my Mom AND Dad were here to celebrate.
