Life of the Pod-y: Merry Christmas

I am crazy but I TOTALLY forgot to bust out my camera to take photos during the gift opening. Thankfully Paul got it all on video which was fun. The kids had so much fun opening their gifts. Santa got the kids new Razor scooters! Corey of course has been in a huge Super Mario Bros. phase so he was thrilled to get his new Super Mario sheets and even more excited when he received his gift from Uncle Johnny and Aunt Melisa - a huge stuffed Mario in addition to a battery operated Super Mario toothbrush. The funniest part on Christmas was that only a two weeks before that (when we did most of his shopping) he was all about Ninja Turtles. So most of his Christmas had Ninja Turtles stuff and at first he was less than thrilled but eventually he came around.

Ashley's best gift was her Animal Jam membership on the National Geographic website. She is so obsessed with this game and has been wanting to be a "member" for about a month. Now that she's a "member" on Animal Jam, she has more benefits, etc. We got a 3 month membership. She was sooo excited and honestly she has probably thanked us at least 50 times! She was even more excited when she received her gift from Uncle Johnny and Aunt Melisa - a 6 month membership! Now she has 9 months to play on Animal Jam as a member.

Cathy slept over so that was fun to have her here for Christmas morning as well as to celebrate her Birthday! I made a breakfast casserole and we drank coffee and stayed in our pjs all day. We went over to Camille and Rob's for a late lunch and birthday celebration for Cathy. We opened gifts and visited with Fr. Ed as well. He got us a gift card to one of our favorite restaurants so that we could have a date and Camille and Rob agreed to babysit for us. Yippee!

It was a such a lovely, relaxing Christmas!

We saved Ashley's Animal Jam membership card last. She thought she hadn't gotten it and was so gracious, but we had it hidden in a big box behind the chair. She was THRILLED!
