Our sweet Trader Joe's friend

Every Sunday we go to Trader Joe's for our grocery run. We've been going there weekly for almost a year now. They have a great selection of organic food, as well as items that don't contain artificial color (which we need for Corey's diet). Their prices are perfect for our budget as well.  We started going to the Quarry location, but now that they have opened the one on Stone Oak (which is closer) a few months ago, we met Pat.

Pat hands out the samples in the little sample kitchen. She loves the kids and we always visit for a bit. She sneaks the kids extra samples and gives them their favorite juice (even if it's not on sample that week). All of the employees are so nice there too. It's like a family. And the kids have a ball. They  participate in coloring contests, search for the stuffed mascot in the store to get a free treat from the "treasure box", get loaded with stickers and even get to push a kid sized cart!  We love that it feels like you are going to your local grocer and they all know you.... the Cheers theme comes to mind..."where everybody knows your name". :) Today I brought Pat some of the pizzelle's that I baked this week. I didn't expect that she would have a gift for us! She gave the kids a Blu Ray movie (A Turtle's Tale) and handed us a box of chocolates with a card that said that we are Honored Guests! She talked to the manager and he wanted to thank us for being loyal Trader Joe's fans! How fun!
