5 Year well Checkup

Corey had his well check up yesterday and he is doing great! Still very itty bitty, but Dr. McCray isn't worried one bit. She said he's very healthy!

Weight: 34.1 lbs

7th percentile (TINY!!)

Height:41.2 inches

18th percentile

He did very well at the appointment and listened to everything that the nurse and doctor asked. The nurse even asked him if he'd rather check his eyes using the chart with shapes or letters and he chose letters. So sweet! He did great with the hearing and eye exam. He only missed one beep in the hearing exam.  His right eye wasn't 20/20 but she wasn't concerned - it may have just been him getting nervous. She said we'll recheck next year. 

 

We asked Dr. McCray about his night bedwetting and she said that it's totally okay and not to discipline him for it. Some kids are heavy sleepers and don't know that it is happening. But if he is doing it during the day (which he has been doing here and there) then that is something he should correct and we should discipline him about because he is aware and knows better. So I feel better about that now. His teeth look good but she said that we should get him to the dentist for a checkup. Eeek!! We haven't done that yet.

After all was said and done, he got a Jake and the Neverland Pirates sticker! He was super excited!
