Diary of a Wimpy Kid

She LOVES this series!

On Wednesday night (after the Newsies show), Teresa loaned me a copy of the most recent book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series to give to Ashley. Ashley has been wanting to read it for awhile. She reads and re-reads all of the books in the series constantly!  So yesterday I gave her the book during breakfast. Right before I put her to bed, she told me that she only had 3 pages left in the book to read and she asked if she could finish it before going to sleep. First of all I was in shock that she finished the book in one day and second of all I said "of course!" she could finish the book. ONE DAY PEOPLE! There are 217 pages in the book! Now granted the font of the text is larger and there are some illustrations throughout, but seriously, one day! When I asked her how she did it, she said that she had a lot of reading time yesterday at school, and they had inside recess because of the rain. I am so proud of this little girl. She is in love with reading. Of all the things she could be doing with her time, I am so blessed that this is how she is choosing to fill it.
