Our Preschool Graduate

Our big boy!

This sweet little guy graduated from preschool on Tuesday, May 12th. Corey goes to the Child Development Center on the UTSA campus and the majority of kids who attend the school are students at UTSA.  Since most of them pull their kids out of the school for the summer, they wanted to accommodate those kids by having the ceremony early. Since we are staff at UTSA, Corey will still attend school until the end of the summer so it really hasn't hit me yet that he has graduated until our last official day there before starting Kindergarten at the end of the August.
The ceremony was super cute! The kids sang songs and each of the teachers and director of the school said a few words. Then each kid "crossed over the bridge" into kindergarten after getting their diploma and medal. I thought the little bridge was such a neat idea to symbolize the next step for these little kiddos. Corey chose not to sing when the kids sang even though I knew that he knew the songs.  I am guessing that he was either feeling stage fright OR he just was stubborn and just didn't feel participating. Knowing Corey, I am thinking it was the latter! He is too much! I love that they have caps and gowns for the kids to wear so that we could get some neat photos. These will be fun to showcase side by side when he graduates high school and college. So proud of our boy!

There's Corey at the far right. :)

See that little smirk on his face. He makes me melt.
All the Mommy's with their boys. These were Corey's closest friends - Sathvik and Koichi.

Corey with his teachers - Ms. Imrana and Ms. Nina - this photo cracks me up because it shows their personalities

So cute!

Here's another - I couldn't get a perfect photo, but these photos are perfect to me because Corey was always a loose cannon.
You never knew what kind of day you were going to have with him. LOL!
After the graduation, they had some light refreshments and posted some fun photo collages on the walls of all the graduates.  He got to keep his tassel too!  That evening, Camille invited all of us to go out to dinner at Luciano's. Little did we know that that evening she was planning to surprise us with her awesome news....She got her book published!! It's going to be published May 2016! So exciting!! What a great night to celebrate two fun events!
