Tornado Warning

This past weekend, San Antonio and nearby cities and counties, were under a Tornado Warning and Flash Flood Warning. It was a bit unnerving when we received alerts and emails stating for us to go to an interior room and avoid windows. Thankfully it was mainly for a 30 minute period on Saturday night and the tornado didn't hit but it was definitely a frightening time. The two kids, the two dogs and Paul and I fit into our hall bathroom. We brought a candle and our phones. We were grateful that we didn't lose power. Paul put a cartoon on for the kids on his phone, and we both were tracking the tornado on my phone via Twitter and news websites. The kids were crying and scared but thank goodness for the technology so that they were distracted watching the cartoon.  Unfortunately, not all areas were as lucky as ours. The devastation from the flash flooding is awful. It has killed many people and ruined homes and neighborhoods. We were very very lucky.
