Corporate Cup 2015

On Saturday morning, Paul and I participated for the second time in the Corporate Cup. We had a great time last year so we were looking forward to it again this year! It's kind of like a Field Day for adults! It's held at the University of the Incarnate Word which is a really nice campus and situated in a great part of San Antonio. It's a smaller campus and reminds Paul and I a lot of our alma mater, York College.  The Corporate Cup event hosts several organizations and companies all over San Antonio and they compete in different events like a 5K race, Frisbee toss, Tug-of-War, Dodgeball, Swimming and Running relays, Sack Races, etc. UTSA falls into Division I, which is the largest division and unfortunately we compete with teams that have been practicing all year long. Some teams even have "try-outs!" We are just lucky to get enough people to sign up for each event! LOL! So overall UTSA doesn't place very well, but we do okay in our events. Last year I ran the 5K and Paul did the Sack Race. And this year I did the Corn Toss (Bean bag toss) and Paul did the Sack Race again. Each of us did great! Paul won his heat and I scored the most points on my team! We had a blast!  We had the kiddos with us this year since our babysitter's daughter got sick. (Poor Chloe) The kids had fun. Corey brought his baseball and glove and Ashley brought her books. We walked around and got some freebies they were handing out (like toy balls and bubbles) and that helped keep them entertained as well. After the event, we went to lunch at Torchy's Tacos with Rosie and Gabe. Super fun day!

We thoroughly enjoyed the free beer at the hospitality tent! It was a hot day!
