Happy New Year!

We usually don't go out for New Years Eve, so we continued with our annual tradition of staying home in our PJ's, watching movies on the blow up mattress in the living room, eating snacks, and watching the ball drop.  We all usually end up having a slumber party in the living room on the big mattress.  We munched on meatball subs, mozzarella sticks and chips/dips. My brother's birthday is New Years Eve, so we got on FaceTime to sing happy birthday to him with the rest of my family.

On New Years' day we celebrated Paul's Mom's birthday by going to lunch and then we headed home and took down the Christmas decorations. The last couple of years, I have started writing a note to myself about what happened the previous year and any goals or wishes for the coming year. Then I tuck the note away with a box of decorations, so that I find my note again when we decorate next year.  I think it will be a nice tradition to look back on and compare all the years.

Also, Paul and I sat down on New Years' Day and started writing out our 1, 3, 5 and 10 year goals. Whether it be fitness, educational, financial, spiritual, fun, etc.  This is a good practice that we wanted to initiate so that our resolutions aren't cliche and actually stick throughout the year. This is also a way to have a measurable goal and can check in on each other to ensure that we reach those goals.

Happy 2016! It's gonna be a good year! Debt Free....here we come!

FaceTiming with John Michael, Melisa, Johnny and Riley (my parents were also there)

Ashley made her own Ball Drop Countdown. She moved the ball down every hour! So creative!

I baked cookies for a snack!! :)
