Our little Ashley

Just wanted to write a quick post on some of the cute things Ashley has been saying lately.

Whenever she falls or is in another room and we can't see whether she dropped something or actually fell, she yells to us "I'M OKAY!". She is so used to us asking if she is okay, I guess she figured she better inform us before we ask. :)

Another cute phrase is "That's soooo cool!" She uses it in the correct context too. For instance, last night I was baking cupcakes for her daycare Easter party today, and I used some food coloring to dye the icing. She really liked when I was stiring up the color in the icing and said, "Woooahhh Mommy, that's so cool!" It kills me to hear a little 2 and a half year old saying that things are cool. :)

When she wants us to stop what we're doing and sit and play with her, she tells us "Sit down for me."

It is just natural for Paul and I to "quiz" Ashley on things we see and do. For example, if we are driving and see a red car, we say "Ashley, what color is that car?" Or we ask her "What sound does a dog make?", etc. Well, I guess Ashley is so used to this that she started "quizzing" us! Now she asks us, "Daddy, what color is Tater (our black lab)?" And Paul will answer, "Black!" and then Ashley says with a big smile "That's RIGHT Daddy!" Like we do when she gets a correct answer. It is adorable.
