The last several weeks Ashley has been itching to go swimming. Last weekend we made it happen! Paul has been busy working on his cousin's graduation video/movie so I thought it would be a good idea for Ash and I to get out of the house for bit. What better way to spend a beautiful Saturday then to be outdoors enjoying the sun. So we went to the pool in Camille's neighborhood and spent a couple of hours visiting with Camille and my neices. Ashley LOVED the water. I kept asking her if she wanted to go swimming in the baby pool, and she answered "NO Mommy, I want the big pool!" We hung around the steps for awhile and she got into the little boat float Gina and Teresa brought as well! Teresa got into the sunscreen and was "extra protected" by smearing it (over several layers) on her body. (picture attached) We had fun swimming and splashing in the water and pretending we were Ariel (her favorite Disney princess) from the The Little Mermaid. After swimming, I took her to Sonic for her own little ice cream sundae with M&M's. She was so sweet sharing her ice cream with me. She ate the whole thing (and wore a lot of it too)!
"Delicious". I also like how she says "there you go" just like you would say to her. haha. She is so mature!
