I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. It began with Paul waking me up to breakfast in bed (coffee, a fruit parfait, and a bagel with cream cheese). So sweet! I felt bad...he wakes me up and there he is standing with the tray and I'm like, "Awww, thank you...hold on...I have to pee!" I didn't want to be trapped under the tray and be all comfy and then have to move the tray to get up a go to the bathroom! :o) Anywho, I am enjoying my breakfast, while watching CBS Sunday Morning (my favorite sunday morning show) and I hear Ashley waking up. She comes in and says "Happy Mother's Day!" (prompted by Paul, of couse - but still sweet!) Then Paul tells Ashley, "We have to treat Mommy like a princess today, ok?" And she answers by saying, "ok, Daddy" then turns to me and says "Mommy, would you like some tea?" Lately, she has been all about her Beauty and the Beast tea set from Aunt Terry and Uncle Steve and loves to pretend that she's a princess having tea. So now, she has to treat ME like a princess, so I guess she thought that I needed tea. I loved it! So we sat in bed, watched TV and had "tea". We all went to church and Paul got me a single red rose that they were selling there. It was so pretty! Then we met Paul's Mom, Dad and sister, Camille, with her family for Mother's day lunch at GBG (Gourmet Burger Grill). It has become somewhat of a tradition eating there each Mother's day. The perk is that all the Mom's got their lunch for free! :o) I had a Caprese Burger (a burger topped with fresh mozzerella, tomato and basil on a whole wheat roll) with sweet potato fries! Yummy! At the restaurant they had a roving balloon artist making cute balloon animals for the kids. Ashley asked for a heart-shaped flower. After lunch we did some shopping at Target and then took a nap. I did some cleaning later that afternoon and went through some of Ashley's clothes that she's grown out of. After dinner at home, we topped off the day with some ice cream at Sonic! It was a lovely and special Mother's day with my amazing family! Thank you all so much! I am so blessed.
