Thanksgiving

This year, Paul and I hosted the family for Thanksgiving.  We had Camille, Rob and kids over and Paul's parents.  It was a nice group and everything turned out great.  We started the day with breakfast sandwiches and coffee and watched a little of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then it was back to work to prepare for the day.  I am so glad that I had off from work the day before to do some prep work.  That day, Ashley and I made turkey napkin rings and I wrote notes to each of the family letting them know how thankful I am for them.

This was the second turkey I made and the last one I made was a couple of thanksgivings ago, so I was a little nervous, but it was super moist and tasty with plenty of gravy and leftovers!  Yum!  I also made a healthier version of a sweet potato casserole, 10 lbs of mashed potatoes!, stuffing, jewish apple cake and a pumpkin trifle.  Paul's Mom brought green bean casserole and pumpkin pie and Camille brought drinks and a delicious salad.  I also had cheese and crackers for an appetizer.  I was worried about the timing and keeping everything warm and I was happy that it all worked out.  By the end of the day, my feet were killing me, but it was all worth it.  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I am so thankful to have my health and a wonderful family.  What more could I ask for? :)
