Easter Sunday

This year we went to church for Easter at the Oblate Grotto on Blanco Road. It actually resembled the tomb where Jesus rose from the dead.

It was absolutely beautiful.  The mass was held outside under all of God's majesty.  The trees, the birds tweeting, the soft wind blowing and listening to God's word. It was wonderful. The kids were even able to get up and walk around the beautiful fountain and garden that was situated nearby. You could still listen to the message but let the kids get the wiggles out at the same time.  My Mom was able to share the day with us as well. It was so nice spending a holiday here with my Mom. Afterward, we enjoyed Easter brunch with the Remmert family and then went back to Aunt Cheryl's house for an Easter Egg Hunt. We had a blast and so did the kids.  We sipped on lemonade, and ate delicious iced butter cookies and chocolate Easter candies.  It was so special. The weather was gorgeous so we spent a lot of time outside and let the kids play. It was a perfect Easter.
