January 16th - MLK DAY

Today we went to breakfast at Magnolia Pancake Haus with the kids.  The night before, Ashley and I were up late cuddling and watching movies. It started with the Parent Trap (which I fell asleep in the middle of) and then I woke up and had a burst of energy and decided to watch another movie. We decided on Penelope. It was a GREAT movie. It was out about 10 years ago, but super cute movie. Anywho, getting up early for breakfast was tough after being up until 1:30am watching movies, but it is SO WORTH IT when you set an alarm to go to breakfast at Magnolia. The thing is, you need to get there EARLY (like between 8-8:30am) or sorry Charlie...you have to wait a long time for a table. It's no fun. Especially when you love their coffee SO MUCH that every minute you wait feels like an hour.

So after breakfast we headed to Half Price Books to sell back some books that Ashley had as well as some that Paul and I needed to get rid of. Ashley used the cash to get more books and we used the cash to apply to some clothes we purchased at the resale shop next door to Half Price Books. SCORE! I got a beautiful blazer for work and a really soft black cardigan and Paul got some shirts. SCORE AGAIN!

So after that it was time for meal prep and laundry back at home. BORING, but necessary. I did a fun sped up video that I posted to my accountability group of my food prep.

While I was folding laundry, Ashley asked to borrow my phone so she could to a time lapse video of her creating clothes for her barbies out of Play-doh. Super awesome! She is so talented and creative.
