Paul and I went out on Saturday the 13th for Valentines Day. We just went for dinner, but it was nice to spend some time together and to try out a restaurant that has been recommended to us from Paul's sister and parents. The restaurant is called Dough and is DELISH! It is an authentic Italian brick oven pizzeria. They make their own mozzerella too! The restaurant owner's name is Doug Horn, so he decided to name the place after his first name and last initial (DougH). Pretty neat! Dough is one of only 28 restaurants in the U.S. to be certified by Verace Pizzeria Napoletana Americas. The pizza is absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend it! We went super early (like we were there by 5pm) to avoid the valentine weekend crowds (aren't we getting old?). We were going to go to a movie afterwards, but both of us were tired and decided to scrap the idea and just go on a night when we'd have more energy and wouldn't have to fight the crowds and lines at the theater (now that's REALLY old!). We picked up Ashley from Paul's parents' house and then just cuddled up to a movie on the couch. We watched The Lather Effect. Really good movie. Kind of like a throwback to The Big Chill but for people that grew up in the 80s. It was especially fun to watch because it got us even more excited for my big 3-0 birthday party - it's an 80s theme!
I enjoyed spending time with my valentine. He makes me so happy and just out of the blue in the middle of dinner, he just said "Sarah, I love you so much." Now, we say that to each other all the time, but the way he said it in the middle of dinner was just so sweet and melted my heart. I love him so much too and I am so happy with the life we have created for ourselves and our growing family. It truly is a blessing. I love you Paul!
I already shared this with Drew. He is going to be SO pumped. We make special trips to Austin just to eat a Homeslice. Thanks for sharing!
