First Day of School

Ashley began her first day of 3rd grade and Corey started KINDERGARTEN!

He had a little bit of a rough beginning once we got in the room and began to leave, but up until that point he was super excited!  He has been talking for weeks about going to "Ashley's school".  Ashley was fine and was very excited to meet up with her friends again. She was a little social butterfly saying hi to all of the teachers and fellow classmates. What a difference from previous years!

I think his eyes were glassy trying to hold back tears; however, I wasn't aware that he was sad.
He was good at remaining brave.

Ok, and there it is....the face right before the tears started and he reached out for me. I immediately walked in and hugged him one more time before one of the teacher assistants helped to calm him down.

 

The kids came back with such happy stories. They both enjoyed their first day! Yay!
